lifescouts: Lifescouts: Swimming Badge I have grown up around water. I took swimming lessons when I was younger and consider myself to be a strong swimmer. I am lucky enough to live in a beautiful country so every summer I have the chance to swim in lakes and rivers and at many different beaches. I love the water.

lifescouts: Lifescouts: Picnic Badge I have picnics at the park or beach quite often, specially in the summer time. It was near the end of second semester at university in 2012 and I was very stressed with all my dance rehursals and final assignments. One day my boyfriend surprised me with a picnic lunch in the park with all my favourite little snacks. He could tell I was stressed and needed time out so he did this for me so we could spend time together and relax :)

lifescouts: Lifescouts: Guitar Badge In June of 2011 I purchased my first acoustic guitar. I have taught myself to play using the internet and friends of mine have helped me along the way. I don’t feel I’m good enough to play in front of people but I do take part in Jam sessions with friends. In December 2012 I led a small worship session with my dance group. I consider this to be the first time I have played and sung in front of people. Having the team join in and say I did a really good job was a good feeling :)

lifescouts: Lifescouts: Parade Badge When I was about 8 and 9 I was involved in my local community’s Santa parade with my church. All the kids in the church marched from the church up the road to be a part of the parade on the main street. We all had matching T-shirts and chanted and sung songs. I did this a couple of years in a row and even performed a dance with some other girls one year. I can still remember the chant we used to sing :)
